General Motors in Grand Rapids is seeking a career-level Manufacturing Engineer specializing in high-volume machining and grinding. You will support manufacturing operations, oversee equipment and processes, and drive continuous improvements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS in Engineering (or equivalent) and 3+ years in an engineering support role within a manufacturing setting. Onsite work and occasional overtime are expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of CNC machining equipment (ID/OD grinding, drilling, milling, turning).
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Support activities ensuring manufacturing technical documentation is up to date.
• Provide technical direction to internal teams and oversee vendors to meet quality and production requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive problem-solving and improve equipment efficiency.
• Provide day-to-day support of manufacturing operations and maintenance.
• Identify and address safety and ergonomics issues.
• Develop technical training materials and work instructions as needed.
• Participate in project planning to meet schedule and budget.
