Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering, estimating, design, and production activities for fabricated products and projects. The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of experience, strong 3D SolidWorks skills, and familiarity with BOMs, shop drawings, and cost estimation.

The role collaborates with Sales, Production, and Procurement to develop cost-effective designs, produce detailed drawings, and ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Job description

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering, estimating, design, and production activities for fabricated products and projects.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience, strong 3D SolidWorks skills, and experience with cost estimation, bill of materials (BOM), job routing, shop drawings, and manufacturing processes. Experience with stainless steel fabrication or sanitary process piping is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQ packages and understand project scope, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Estimate material and labor costs for fabricated components and projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation for Sales Engineers.
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and job routings.
• Develop cost-effective designs, concept drawings, and detailed shop drawingsfor fabrication.
• Use SolidWorks to develop and modify 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve production efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Work closely with Production and Shop teams to understand manufacturing capabilities, processes, and requirements.
• Obtain supplier quotations and support purchasing activities, including purchase orders for parts and services.
• Lead cross-functional RFQ reviews with Sales, Production, and Procurement teams for larger projects.
• Communicate engineering and design requirements to Sales, customers, and production teams.
• Support material readiness by verifying BOMs, job materials, and production requirements.
• Track project schedules, material availability, and production requirements.
• Manage multiple estimates, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
• Analyze financial and cost data to support estimates, forecasts, and project decisions.
• Perform other related engineering and manufacturing duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 2–3+ years of engineering, manufacturing, estimating, or related experience.
• Proficiency with 3D SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of job costing and manufacturing cost estimation.
• Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and shop drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and cost data and develop estimates or forecasts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with stainless steel fabrication and manufacturing.
• Experience with sanitary process piping or related fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.
• Experience with RFQ review, estimating, quoting, or proposal development.
• Experience with BOM creation, job routing, production planning, or material coordination.
• Experience working in a custom or project-based manufacturing environment.
