Job summary

ITW Evercoat in the Cincinnati area is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and bringing automation solutions to life. You will evaluate manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and lead projects that enhance safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and efficiency at our facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting/troubleshooting PLC-based equipment; Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, electrical controls, HMIs, VFDs and sensors.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and collaborate with controls contractors.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and project management skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; AutoCAD or SolidWorks valued.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workflows, layouts, space needs, and labor to boost efficiency.
• Lead projects for automation upgrades, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Support equipment evaluations with economic justification and data.
• Troubleshoot PLC-based equipment, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and controls.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain facility and equipment layouts; assist with installations.
