Job summary

Columbia Tech is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Westborough, MA to optimize manufacturing processes and drive DFMA improvements. The role requires hands-on CAD design experience (SolidWorks), familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, and strong analytical skills.

You will work with vendors, support program managers, and help maintain bills of materials and work instructions. The position is based in Westborough, MA, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 0–6 years’ experience in ISO capital equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD (SolidWorks), MS Office, MS Project, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Good technical aptitude and basic understanding of electro/mechanical assemblies.
• Basic knowledge of MRP/PDM; Epicor E9/10 and SW EPDM knowledge a plus.
• Basic knowledge of GT&D and inspection methods/tools.
• Office environment with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes by analyzing design, fabrication, tooling, and materials and consulting with vendors.
• Develop manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods/equipment.
• Improve efficiency by data collection and planning staffing, workflow, space, and equipment layout.
• Assure product/process quality by designing testing methods and establishing standards.
• Provide cost insights by calculating production, labor, and material costs and reviewing schedules.
• Prepare product/process reports and summarize information and trends.
• Create/maintain BOMs, assembly/test procedures, and work instructions.
