Job summary

Axillon Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to implement process technologies that transition designs to manufacturable products and to support new product development for high manufacturability. You will monitor day-to-day production, develop routings and work instructions, specify tooling, participate in MRB and design reviews, and prepare floor layouts to promote efficient flow of assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical discipline or its equivalent.
  • Experience with CAD.
  • Five years of related manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day production activities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop manufacturing routings and work instructions with labor standards.
  • Establish process capabilities and propose improvements.
  • Define tooling, fixtures and equipment requirements for manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in MRB and dispositions of discrepant material.
  • Contribute to design reviews for product and process compatibility.
  • Provide labor and manufacturing cost input for proposals.
  • Prepare floor layouts to promote efficient product flow through assembly operations.
  • Assist in transitioning designs to the manufacturing phase.
