Job summary

Backburner Labs Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer– I to bridge design and production, owning the transfer of electromechanical designs into repeatable manufacturing processes.

You will work hands-on with prototype builds, develop clear work instructions, and help train assembly staff. The role includes designing fixtures, improving processes, and contributing to facility operations as part of a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or production engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to write and validate work instructions.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical assemblies and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Own the design transfer process from engineering to production for electromechanical products.
• Create and maintain version-controlled work instructions for assembly and testing.
• Develop fixtures and tooling to improve speed and quality.
• Train assembly staff and support safety and QA processes.
• Coordinate with vendors and ERP/PLM systems onboarding.
