Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Elk Point, South Dakota. The role partners with Manufacturing Engineering to design parts, streamline production, and eliminate waste to improve build quality and reduce warranty claims.

The candidate will develop new products, create production drawings, and work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts for final assembly. Strong reading of drawings and proficiency with SolidWorks are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or an associate with relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend part drawings and wiring/hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks).
• Create detail drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks).
• Coordinate with materials team to ensure timely parts delivery to production.
• Analyze current production processes to find waste and opportunities to reduce build time.
• Collaborate to implement measures that decrease production time and improve quality.
• Review drawings from body manufacturers to ensure fitment during installation.
