Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. is seeking an Engineering/Engineering Technology student to assist Manufacturing Engineers in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods.

You will help design production aids, jigs, and fixtures, and gain familiarity with lean processes and quality standards in a professional office and factory setting. Qualifications

• Enrollment as Engineering or Engineering Technology student.
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• CAD (Solidworks and/or AutoCAD) experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layouts for efficiency.
• Develop and implement tool redesign recommendations.
• Research manufacturing trends, new technology, and recommended improvements.
• Investigate manufacturing problems and propose solutions.
• Facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives across facilities and participate in improvement projects.
• Review Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
