Job summary

Nutanix is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co‑op for the Sumter, SC site. You will support the CPA engineering team to develop solutions for product and manufacturing problems, from initiation through launch and ongoing development.

You will gain exposure to Lean Six Sigma concepts, JP/Kaizen practices, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and marketing. Relocation to Sumter will be required for the co‑op.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s engineering program.
• Minimum 1 internship or co-op experience, or 3 months of work experience.
• Willing to relocate to Sumter, SC for the co-op.
• GPA 2.8 or higher (no rounding).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing solutions for product and manufacturing problems for a complete line of apparatus.
• Assist in training and development of personnel; assemble, verify, and present results.
• Prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes, and systems to optimize cost and quality manufacturability.
• Implement strategies to ensure concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing with the design team.
• Investigate new technologies and assess impact on total business.
• Participate in project management and cross‑functional teamwork using ProLaunch.
• Support VOC research for product and market requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of project commitments.
