Job summary

Eaton in Sumter, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op to support the CPA engineering team from project initiation through manufacturing launch and ongoing development. You will collaborate with engineers, operations, and marketing to develop manufacturable solutions and improve the product line.

The role requires enrollment in a Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering program, minimum internship/co-op experience, relocation to Sumter, and a willingness to engage

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum internship or co-op experience equivalent to 3 months.
Willingness to relocate to Sumter, SC for the co-op.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to the CPA engineering team to develop solutions for product and manufacturing problems.
Assist in training and development, assemble and analyze results, prepare reports and present findings.
Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes, and systems to optimize cost and manufacturability.
Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure concurrent engineering and manufacturability.
