Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Spring 2027 Manufacturing Engineer Co‑Op in Sumter, SC. The role supports the CPA engineering team from project initiation through manufacturing launch and ongoing development, collaborating with multiple engineering and operations teams.

The Co‑Op focuses on Lean, JIT, Kaizen, and concurrent engineering to optimize cost and manufacturability. Responsibilities include assisting line staff, developing specifications, and contributing to VOC research.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 or higher (no rounding).
• Must relocate to Sumter, SC for co-op; relocation assistance for outside 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Assist in solving product and manufacturing problems for a complete line of apparatus.
• Assist in training and development; assemble, verify, and analyze results, prepare reports.
