Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join Moog’s Commercial Aircraft Group in West Falls. You will prepare detailed manufacturing instructions and NC programs to produce high-precision parts in alignment with engineering drawings and specs.

The role requires hands-on machine shop activity, developing procedures, tooling, gauging, and sequencing to meet production needs. A strong background in CAD/CAM programming and multi-axis milling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 3+ years CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with Mazak, Okuma and/or WFL mill-turns preferred.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product.
• Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
• Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.
• Be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.
• Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer

Reporting To: Plant Manager

Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Moog’s Commercial Aircraft business supports the full aircraft lifecycle—from design, development, testing, and certification to in‑service support. Our capabilities include OEM design, aftermarket services, engine accessory repairs, aircraft control components, and advanced avionics and digital airfield solutions. Our team in Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join them in West Falls, New York location.

As the Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will prepare detailed manufacturing instructions and programming data to produce machined parts and to meet engineering drawings and specifications. You will determine manufacturing procedures and operation sequencing and establish tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies for various products. In addition, you will spend time in the machine shop solving problems and improving processes associated with the parts you are responsible for.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software
• Experience with Mill-Turn Machining particularly Mazak, Okuma and/or WFL mill-turns preferred
• Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product
• Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $85,000.00–$110,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
