About the Role

Our team in Military Aircraft is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high‑precision machined parts and sub‑assemblies.
• Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.
• Be hands‑on in the production environment, assisting with program prove‑outs and troubleshooting.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.
• Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.

Qualifications

• ABachelor’s degreein a technical field with3+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or anAssociate degreewith6+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or aHigh School Diploma/GEDwith8+ yearsof proven professional experience
• 3+ CNC programmingexperience using CAD/CAM software.
• Strong knowledge ofprocess engineeringfrom raw material to finished product.
• Hands‑on experience withmachine setup and operation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
• Background in the aerospace industry
• Experience with machine automation integration
• Skills in inspection of machined parts
• Hands‑on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
• Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually
