Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Orlando to optimize production layouts and processes. You will design equipment installations, craft 3D models, and analyze workflows to boost efficiency and quality.

The role requires CNC machining experience, CAD/CAM skills (CREO/NX), and GD&T expertise, with a path toward industry-leading aerospace manufacturing practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited college.
  • Experience with precision machining (CNC lathes, mills) for aerospace alloys.
  • CAD software experience.
  • CAM software experience.
  • G-code knowledge.
  • GD&T interpretation.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools and Mil-Spec processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving operational excellence through advanced manufacturing techniques and data-driven improvements.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

Basic Qualifications
  • Completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Technology
  • Experience with precision machining (CNC lathes, CNC mills, etc.) capabilities, methods, cutting tools, and fixtures used to manufacture precision components made from aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and other common aerospace alloys.
  • Experienced user of Computer Aided (CAD) software
  • Working experience utilizing CAM software
  • Working experience with G-code
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Desired Skills
  • Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD
  • Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAM
  • Experience with chem film, paint applications and other special processes.
  • Experience utilizing Vericut
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.
  • Effective project management.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
