Job summary

W3Global in Beverly, Massachusetts is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize CNC machining operations, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Production, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability, maximize schedule attainment, and elevate product quality through data-driven problem solving and hands-on improvements.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience supporting CNC machining operations.
  • CAD/CAM experience and knowledge of engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience with CNC turning and milling operations.
  • Mill-turn machining experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices and precision measurement techniques.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and process improvement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, quality requirements, and cost optimization
  • Develop manufacturing processes, setup sheets, sketches, and shop-floor documentation
  • Design or procure fixtures, gauges, and tooling required for production
  • Program CNC machines and optimize machining parameters including feeds and speeds
  • Troubleshoot machining, equipment, and process issues on the shop floor
  • Support CNC turning, milling, and mill-turn operations
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Production, and Machine Operators to improve productivity and quality
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Train machine operators on manufacturing processes and company procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and workflow optimization

About The Role
