Job summary

You will work from engineering docs and CAD models to determine tooling, materials and methods for cost-effective manufacture while meeting quality specs. The role requires an engineering degree and hands-on experience with aluminum, nickel alloys, stainless steels, and titanium, plus CAM software such as Mastercam.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BS) with 2+ years of experience or 10+ years in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and 3D CAD models.
• Proficiency in metal manufacturing with aluminum, nickel alloys, stainless steels and titanium.
• Experience designing tools/fixtures and CAM programming for fabrication.
• Experience writing and optimizing CNC programs for 5/6 axis machines using G-code and CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and measurement techniques.
• Determine cost-effective fabrication and inspection methods.
• Prepare shop operation sketches, instructions, and production plans.
• Design tools/fixtures for fabrication of parts.
• Provide advanced CNC and laser programs and optimize them to reduce cycle times.
• Troubleshoot machining/laser issues and achieve part tolerances.
• Prepare revision-controlled program folders and setup sheets.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
