JTEKT North America Corporation in Vonore, TN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support for continuous improvement of plant operations and the execution of new or modified programs. Design and conduct trials to reduce scrap and cycle time, assist with breakdowns and set-ups, and help create effective setup and maintenance procedures.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering (ME or EE) with minimum 3 years in metal removal or close tolerance manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CNC controls, tooling geometry, and fixture design.
• Experience with automated, semi- automated, or manual automotive assembly equipment.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits.
• PLC and robot programming experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute trials to reduce cost, scrap, and cycle time.
• Support maintenance and manufacturing on breakdowns, startups, and setups.
• Develop and implement effective set-up and maintenance procedures.
• Investigate non-conforming product flow and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in manufacturing planning reviews for new programs.
• Plan process development trials to meet initial capability targets.
• Support Kaizen and continuous improvement teams.
• May work overtime as needed to complete duties.
