Job summary

ZF Foxconn Chassis Modules GmbH in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design assembly concepts, support production launches, and manage equipment integration. The role requires a mechanical/ Manufacturing background with 2+ years in manufacturing and strong CAD, SAP, and Office skills.

Travel flexibility is a plus for cross-site projects. You will help craft PFMEAs, value streams, and standard work while coordinating with suppliers and customers to implement efficient layouts

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Good mechanical and technical skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, CAD, and SAP skills.
• Good time management & prioritizing skills.
• Willingness to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop assembly concepts in consideration of ZF Chassis Module Systems (Work Plan / Investment Plan / Assembly Line Layout / Project Timing).
• Support in acquisition projects for the production area.
• Prepare RFQ for equipment supplier and manage the integration.
• Support launch & commissioning new assembly equipment / new products.
• Prepare and maintain PFMEAs, value stream & standard work instructions.
• Serve as a liaison with the customer for interpretation and development of new solutions.
• Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
