Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes and support automation initiatives. You will work with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to boost efficiency and product quality across facilities.

You will lead projects, apply Lean and Six Sigma, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new production methods while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, robotics, and industrial controls.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows, layouts, and production methods.
• Troubleshoot equipment and eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Support automation projects involving PLCs, robotics, and manufacturing technologies.
• Lead equipment installation, validation, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and improve existing processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
