Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas seeks a Fabrication/Manufacturing Engineer to design, improve, and sustain production processes for high-quality products. You will bridge product design and manufacturing, apply new technologies, resolve equipment issues, and streamline workflows using lean principles.

The role involves upgrading machinery, defining production methods, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale from prototype to full

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and automation systems.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis familiarity.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine production methods to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop workflows, equipment layouts, and assembly processes for new and existing products.
• Diagnose and fix equipment problems addressing production bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain quality standards, including testing procedures.
• Identify, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, and leadership to move prototypes to full-scale production.
• Ensure processes meet health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
