Job summary

Parker IGFG is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, improve, and support manufacturing processes for safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. You will partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and product engineering to drive continuous-improvement, introduce new products and equipment, and advance factory automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methods (5 Why, fishbone, A3).
• Familiarity with Lean and continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAD, ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, tooling, fixtures, and standard work.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Identify and implement automation and robotics opportunities (robotic cells, automated assembly, material handling, vision systems).
• Support equipment selection, capital justification, installation, and process validation.
• Analyze production data to identify downtime causes and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles (value-stream, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, standardized work, mistake-proofing).
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering to establish process controls and PFMEAs.
• Support new product introductions by evaluating manufacturability and coordinating pilot builds.
