Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing and leading improvement projects.
  • Proven ability to apply Lean/CI concepts and mentor teams.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Make a visible impact across our manufacturing operations. As an Operational Excellence Manufacturing Engineer, you will partner with production teams to lead process‑improvement projects, implement best practices, and turn data‑driven ideas into practical solutions. Your work will help create safer workplaces, improve quality, increase efficiency and throughput, and strengthen performance across product lines and manufacturing locations. This is an opportunity for a hands‑on problem solver who enjoys collaborating with others and seeing improvements move from concept to measurable results.

ESSENTIAL JOB OUTCOMES

  • Actively complete jobs as assigned from the OpEx action item list generated by the production teams and prioritized by the Steering Committee.
  • Identify projects for improvement in cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement opportunities by managing these projects to successful completion.
  • Monitor manufacturing operations including analyzing production output and labor efficiency.
  • Assess manufacturing processes and develop best practices to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Support and apply lean manufacturing principles to improve the organization’s productivity.
  • Mentor team members on Lean/CI concepts and practices providing an understanding that allows them the ability to apply concepts to improvement initiatives.
  • Measure and analyze resource productivity using time and motion studies and make recommended changes to flow that will ultimately improve KPI performance.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by confirming product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Justify investment for improvements using validated data for cost savings.
  • Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximizing efficiency.
  • Implement fixture improvements through analyzing existing designs.
