Job summary
Diversified Services Network, Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead shop floor activities and support assembly operations for drivetrain products.
The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, PFMEA/Control Plans, and participation in APQP/PPAP, CQMS, IPV activities. Expect cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance on 1st shift with occasional 2nd/3rd shift support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or strong manufacturing experience.
- Hands-on support for shop floor assembly operations.
- Paint processes experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain manufacturing systems (MESA, CAPP+, PINpoint, SAP) and vision systems.
- Develop and sustain assembly process controls, error-proofing, work instructions, and interlocks.
- Support routings, configurations, and manufacturing documentation, including PINpoint updates.
- Develop PFMEAs and Control Plans; investigate quality events and drive corrective actions.
- Contribute to APQP/PPAP, CQMS, IPV activities and risk mitigation.
- Lead capital projects, equipment validation, and lean initiatives to improve productivity.
- Assist NPI/CPI programs and shop floor training, safety, and audits.
