Job summary

Harvey Nash in Pontiac, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Assembly Engineer to provide technical expertise across production, cost, quality, and safety compliance for fuel injector assembly in a high-volume environment.

You will troubleshoot equipment, drive process improvements, and develop APQP artifacts while collaborating with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Must have strong APQP experience and the ability to create Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA
• Must have manufacturing/assembly experience in a high-volume environment
• Willing to leverage cross-functional meetings and drive problem solving

Responsibilities

Typical task breakdown:

• Troubleshooting assembly equipment if needed
• Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process
• Understanding and walking back issues that occur due to first test pass failures
• Creating and updating all APQP elements

Interaction with team:

• Cross functional work with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations

Team Structure

• Work with 13 other Manufacturing engineers and test engineers on the team reporting up through tech service manager

Work environment:

• Offices are located inside of factory work setting

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: Min of 5 years of experience
