Waabi in Pittsburgh is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Quality Lead to drive APQP/PPAP at Tier 1 sites, ensuring Start of Production readiness. You will lead DF M and DFA feedback, GD&T verification, MSA/Gage R&R, and RCCA activities, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver a robust, quality-first manufacturing process.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in automotive/high-tech hardware, SolidWorks proficiency, and experience launching complex electromechanical systems in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• Proven track record launching automotive or high-tech hardware at Tier 1/CMs using APQP/PPAP gates.
• Technical ownership of launch from prototype to production.
• Advanced APQP/PPAP management with control plans and PFMEAs.

Responsibilities

• Own APQP process from design to SOP at CM/Tier 1 sites.
• Provide DFM/DFA feedback for manufacturability.
• Validate PPAP deliverables and integration into assembly process.
• Lead RCCA (8D) for production issues.
• Define End-of-Line testers and calibration routines.
• Lead creation of PFMEAs, Process Flows, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
• Design/manufacture tooling and fixtures; ensure GD&T and tolerances meet via MSA/Gage R&R.
