Job summary

AAA USA is actively hiring experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support aerospace, defense, transportation, and advanced manufacturing programs nationwide. The role involves hands-on work with production teams to improve methods, solve build issues, and support DFM initiatives.

The ideal candidate will independently manage day-to-day process improvements, with senior engineering leadership available for complex decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or complex assembly.
• Strong CAD proficiency and reading/interpreting drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with DFM analysis and manufacturing documentation or willingness to build this capability.

Responsibilities

• Work with mechanics, technicians, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
• Improve methods, processes, ergonomics, work content, and production flow in assigned areas.
• Analyze build sequences and develop practical, repeatable processes.
• Use CAD models and drawings to understand design intent and improve manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing drawings, models, and work instructions.
• Ensure changes remain traceable to engineering requirements and maintain QC.
• Perform DFM analysis and recommend design/process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Present engineering recommendations to Design Engineering and leadership.
• Support initiatives to reduce labor hours, costs, rework, and cycle time.
• Assist with tooling, fixtures, and production equipment improvements.
• Support ERP alignment, eBOM/mBOM reconciliation, routings.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
