FMI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support high-temperature carbon/carbon composites production. You will optimize safety, quality, reliability, cost, and cycle time, working with high-temperature equipment, piping, valves, and process automation controls.

Shift options include Sun–Thu, Tue–Sat, or Mon–Fri 3:00pm–12:00am. You will design equipment for future production, perform root cause analyses, and partner with Production/Maintenance to drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 8 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Knowledge of process equipment operation principles and process capability.
• Strong problem solving and project coordination skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment.

Responsabilités

• Design, specify, and develop new equipment for future production systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for failure investigations and data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot and improve equipment and processes using Lean/Six Sigma tools and MRL standards.
• Utilize engineering tools such as BOM refinement, Design Reviews, PFMEAs, IQ/OQ, Value Stream Maps, GD&T.
• Provide technical support for a 7x24 manufacturing facility in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Author ECOs, manufacturing procedures, and initial production travelers; research and organize engineering documents.
