We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with engineering, quality, machining, and operations teams to develop efficient manufacturing processes, support production needs, and drive improvements in cost, quality, and lead time.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in manufacturing engineering, machining processes, and process improvement, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing processes and production routings based on customer and engineering requirements.
- Plan fabrication and assembly sequences to ensure efficient production and product quality.
- Design, specify, and procure tooling, fixtures, and equipment required to support manufacturing operations.
- Program CNC equipment to effectively produce components and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve manufacturing, fabrication, and tooling issues.
- Create and revise manufacturing drawings and documentation using CAD software.
- Support corrective action investigations and participate in MRB (Material Review Board) activities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, and streamline operations through process improvements.
- Manage engineering and manufacturing projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, military, and contractual requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience supporting machining, fabrication, assembly, or other manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
- Experience programming CNC machinery.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, military, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Project management experience involving process or production improvements.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing best practices.
