Job summary

AllSTEM Connections in Massachusetts seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to support the Transducer Production Engineering team. You will design, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, fixtures, and ECNs within our PLM system, collaborating across engineering, quality, and operations.

Responsibilities include SolidWorks modeling, GD&T interpretation, process documentation, data analysis with Excel and Power BI, and hands-on production support to drive efficiency, quality, and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling and drawings.
  • Experience executing ECNs and managing documentation in a PLM system.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, bonding, assembly, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to be hands on in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining SolidWorks CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and basic electrical diagrams.
  • Designing, procuring, and implementing production fixtures and tooling.
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Executing and managing ECNs within the PLM system, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Supporting daily production troubleshooting involving tooling, fixtures, test setups, and assembly processes.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting manufacturing data using Excel, Power BI, and internal tools.
  • Conducting process audits, time studies, and workflow assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Applying Lean Manufacturing principles to recommend and implement process, safety, ergonomic, and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborating with Quality, Product Management, and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of process and design changes.
  • Participating in design-for-manufacturability reviews and supporting process validation and testing activities.

Job description

Projects will include product redesign, fixture development, process improvements, and execution of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) within the company's PLM system.

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer II will support the Transducer Production Engineering (PENG) team across design, documentation, process improvement, and production support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining SolidWorks CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment.
