Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing cells of new and existing products, delivering aerospace-grade process rigor and safety compliance. • Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions.
• Identify new tooling needs and maintain tooling, gauging, and test equipment.
• Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvements.
• Support proposal development – ME hours and risk assessment.
• Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues.
• Responsible for Work Cell Design, Integration and Validation.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve KPIs.
• Support 5S and visual management in manufacturing areas.
• Support Product Conformance and Configuration Control requirements.

Eaton’s IS AER MSD Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This role is based in Orchard Park, NY. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000–$105,000 a year. Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing cells of new and existing products and provide typical manufacturing engineering rigor required for Aerospace Industry product realization. They will manage process documents, tooling and fixturing, drive continuous improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, perform ergonomic assessments, and ensure safety and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activity in support of site safety goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar internships/co‑ops.
• No relocation is offered for this position; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active‑Duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in helping develop new products and supporting proposal work.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing and Visual Control implementations.
• Experience in designing tooling used in the support of Assembly and Test products.
• Experience in soldering, wiring, electrical assembly.
• Experience in Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS).
• Experience in 2D/3D CAD software.
