Job summary

BRP in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer reporting to an Engineering Team Lead. The role focuses on supporting production in a mixed model assembly environment, improving assembly processes, and implementing tools and fixtures.

Strong lean, DMAIC, and communication skills are required. The candidate should have a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 2+ years in manufacturing, plus proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing; process/operations engineering, mechanical design.
  • Experience analyzing data to develop implementation plans; release/implement processes during product development.

Responsibilities

  • Support production in a mixed model assembly environment.
  • Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes for cost, quality, and capacity.
  • Specify, procure, validate, and implement tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Provide recommendations in tool selection and error-proofing.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve operations.
  • Apply DMAIC to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with team leads and technicians to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions.
  • Implement engineering change notices.
  • Hit manufacturing engineering milestones for new product development programs.

  • Support production in a mixed model assembly environment
  • Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to meet cost, quality, and capacity requirements
  • Specify, procure, validate, and implement tools, fixtures, and equipment

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
REQUIRED
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing; Process engineering, operations engineering, Mechanical Design
  • Experience analyzing data and utilizing tools to develop implementation plans
  • Experience releasing and implementing processes during product development phases.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
  • Team player with excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles; Defects, Non-utilized talent (underusing employee skils/time)
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • AutoCAD knowledge is required
  • Position requires current work authorization. Sponsorship now or in the future is not provided for this role.
  • Relocation support is not provided for this position. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate at their own expense.
PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of General Logistics Management and Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
