CSP Innovations Louisiana facility has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. The position supports Process, Development and Project Engineering with technical oversight for new product introductions and engineering changes.

Responsibilities include leading projects, coordinating ECNs and CAPEX requests, and driving process improvements to ensure high quality, cost-effective production and efficient factory operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• At least 1 year of program management experience.
• Familiarity with APQP methodology is required.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive suppliers.
• Demonstrated cost/financial management experience.
• Proficient with Windows apps including MS Project, Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SPC and statistical data analysis.
• Working knowledge of control systems, PLC programming and systems integration.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate manufacturing personnel activities to support prototypes, ECN changes and new development products.
• Develop products and processes to improve quality, customer service and profitability.
• Provide leadership for project management and manufacturing activities for improvements.
• Act as project manager for assigned projects; originate CRs and POs.
• Quote costs and timing for ECNs and new projects; track project financials.
• Design and develop process line tooling, equipment, fixtures and layout.
• Develop process instruction manuals and training aids compliant with Quality System.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process problems and risks for each line.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce scrap, rework and downtime; improve labor efficiency.

CSP Innovations Louisiana facility has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The position accomplishes essential engineering functions related to Process, Development and Project Engineering. Provides technical support to develop capable processes and coordinates factory projects related to new product introductions, engineering changes and process improvements.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates manufacturing personnel activities to support the manufacture of customer requested prototype, engineering changes to existing product lines and new development products.
• To develop product and manufacturing technologies and processes that provide high quality products, excellent customer service and optimizes profitability for the company.
• Provide leadership for project management and manufacturing activities that result in creative and innovative improvements in the way the company manufactures customer products.
• Functions as project manager for assigned projects, originates capital request (CRs) and purchase orders (POs).
• Quotes cost and timing for engineering changes (ECNs) and new projects as assigned and tracks financials related to project.
• Coordinates and provides recommendations for design and development of process line tooling, equipment, work fixtures and optimum layout of an assigned product line.
• Provide technical services for development of process instructions manuals and key training aids for manufacturing in compliance with the current Quality System procedures and policy.
• Troubleshooting manufacturing process problems, concerns and issues related to each process line.
• Support the continuous improvement program by recommending improvements in product quality, reduced scrap, minimize/eliminate rework, improve labor efficiency, material saving and decrease equipment downtime.
• Control systems integration and programming.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering
• Minimum one-year experience with program management.
• Familiarity with APQP methodology.
• Experienced in an engineering field within a manufacturing environment, preferably an automotive supplier.
• Demonstrated cost/financial management experience.
• Competence in personal computer Windows applications including: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of SPC and statistical data analysis.
• Working knowledge of control systems and plc programming and systems integration.
