Job summary

Net2Source Inc. in Pontiac, IL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract with potential extension.

You will collaborate with offsite engineering teams in Mossville and India, and support assembly processes on the shop floor. Responsibilities include documenting practices, supporting Pre-Delivery Audits, managing BIQ initiatives, and coordinating with multiple engineering groups to address assembly issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 3 years of engine design experience including internships.
• Master's degree with 3 years of engineering experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and schematics.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineer

Location

Duration

12 Months Contract (High Possibility of extension)

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• First point of contact for Operation Assembly issues - Assists offsite engineering teams, (Mossville and India), by obtaining information from the shop
• Documents product and assembly practices by talking to assemblers and taking photographs
• Participates in nearly all Pre-Delivery Audits -
• Manages ~150 active BIQ initiatives (CI Cards and ECRs)
• Averages 30 BIQ closures per month, mostly by print changes
• Manages an Offshore staff of ~4 designers/detailers Requirements.

Work environment

• An average day consists of 1-2 trips to the operations floor.
• Attendance in 1-2 meetings.
• Tracking and evaluating engineering requests.
• Time spent collaborating with other engineers on those requests.

Education & Experience Required

• Years of experience: Bachelor’s 3 years of engine design experience + internship experience (2 years), Master’s with 3 years
• Degree requirement: BS required in mechanical, agricultural, electrical, or similar engineering or engineering technology.

(Required) - Excellent Organization and Priority setting skills. - Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and schematics. - Must be self-motivated with a good sense of urgency when handling assigned tasks.

(Desired) - Good understanding of engines or electrical systems is a plus - At least 2-3 years of industry or related military experience - CREO and TeamCenter experience

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must work and communicate extremely well with hourly assembly teams.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities is required as this position will interface with many other departments (such as other engineering groups, operations, suppliers, marketing, supply chain, and customer service).
• Ability to multi-task and work with a team of individuals of diverse backgrounds.
