Job summary

EPITEC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract in Pontiac, IL. The role is on-site, 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM), with a pay rate of $38–$40 per hour.

The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, and validate new processes and equipment in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams is key to achieving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or machining environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience creating engineering sketches, drawings, and performing technical calculations.
• Proficiency with CAD or related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process-related issues on the production floor.
• Conduct process validations and assist with the implementation of engineering and process changes.
• Perform time studies, motion studies, and workflow analyses to establish production standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams to validate new processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
• Develop reports, charts, layouts, and workflow documentation to support process improvements.
• Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
• Evaluate manufacturing data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support prototype testing, validation activities, and manufacturing readiness assessments.
