Job summary

Tech Etch in Plymouth, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize high-precision manufacturing processes. You will partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has a bachelors in a related field, 2+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, and hands-on CAD experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) plus Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role (precision manufacturing preferred).
  • Proficiency with CAD and data analysis tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel).
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving approach with excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for process excellence, innovation, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, work instructions, FMEAs, and validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Support capital equipment selection, procurement, installation, and validation.
  • Train and support technical staff and operators on new equipment and process changes.
  • Lead productivity and cost-reduction projects while supporting new product introductions.

ABOUT THE JOB

We're looking for a driven Manufacturing Engineer to help us push boundaries in high-precision manufacturing. SHIFT: 7am-4pm

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products

SALARY RANGE: $66,000 - $99,000

This is the full salary range for the position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
