Job summary

LeoForce in Meriden, CT, is seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing methods, tooling, and inspection for precision components, collaborating with development and production teams.

You will work hands-on on development projects, provide process instructions, input routings, and create NC toolpaths using Mastercam or Unigraphics, with NX CAD for fixtures and drawings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with GD&T, technical drawings, and NC programming.
  • Knowledge of machine tools for precision components.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and reports.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, and the business community.

Responsibilities

  • Take a hands-on role in the manufacturing process of development projects alongside production

  • Input routing data into the database to calculate operation times and document detailed procedures for each manufacturing operation
  • Use CAD (NX) software to sketch blueprints, operation sheets, and set-up sheets for internal and outside vendors; develop fixtures and processes
  • Program NC toolpaths using Mastercam or Unigraphics
  • Multi-task across concurrent development and production support priorities

Job Details

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, and the business community
Nice‑to‑Have
  • Experience programming CNC VTL & milling machines, including set‑up and first‑part runs to release development to production; tool room experience
  • Experience using PPAP to evaluate incoming jobs
