Foxconn is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Industrial & Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize our production operations in Indianapolis. This hybrid role merges the strategic planning and systems optimization focus of Industrial Engineering with the hands-on process improvement and equipment knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about driving manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and improve overall productivity (Lean / Six Sigma).
2. Design and implement process flow improvements, workstation layouts, and equipment modifications to enhance safety and efficiency.

Work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and support daily operations.

Lead time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning to meet changing customer and production demands.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Evaluate production metrics and recommend improvements based on data analysis.

Specify, procure, and implement new tools, jigs, and fixtures to support scalable manufacturing.

Drive initiatives around automation, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing systems.

Support new product introduction (NPI) and change management processes with engineering documentation and training.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. 2–5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (electronics or consumer products).
3. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
5. Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Excel, and manufacturing-related software (MES, ERP).
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to work independently and drive results in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
2. Experience with automation systems or robotics.
3. Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.
4. Knowledge of supply chain or logistics optimization.
