Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Parsippany, NJ to plan, develop, and implement production methods and cell setups for aerospace products. You will coordinate equipment/tooling acquisitions, maintain production standards, and support troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering with 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering, CAD with Creo, and Lean/continuous improvement experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 2–5 years experience in manufacturing engineering or internships/co-ops in aerospace manufacturing
• Familiarity with Creo or equivalent CAD software and GD&T drawing standards
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers

Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 per year

Job Details:

• Plans, develops, and implements production methods and cell set-up, including layout, routers and build books for all products including overhaul & repair.
• Plans and coordinates efforts toward the acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
• Develops and maintains production standards.
• Assists in the troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
• Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturability. Writes engineering change orders as required.
• Witnesses and evaluates acceptance tests on units to verify both the performance of the product and the accuracy of the test procedure.
• Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Candidates with 0 years of experience must have relevant internships, co-ops, and coursework in aerospace manufacturing or an equivalent industry.
• Familiarity with CAD software, including Creo or equivalent platforms, as well as GD&T drawing standards.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with and provide technical instruction to technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers, and other personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of machining processes, material properties, and manufacturing methods as they relate to the production of component parts.
• Familiarity with electronics, electrical circuits, electric motors, hydraulic motors, servo valves, and hydraulic test equipment.
• Experience working with aircraft, aerospace, and/or military equipment.
• Understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
• Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including quality auditing practices.
• Experience with FAA and/or EASA certification requirements is highly desirable.
