Job summary

Leoforce in Minnesota is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, including PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, IPC Class 3 soldering standards, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

You will lead process improvements, develop procedures and labor standards; support PCB assembly, machining, and sheet metal fabrication; collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Sales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electronics manufacturing with PCB/SMT experience.
• Strong IPC Class 3 and ISO 9001 knowledge.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, SPC, and capacity planning.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical docs.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership.
• Experience in supplier management and contract manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows for efficiency.
• Lead Lean, 5S, Kanban, and DFM continuous improvement.
• Develop procedures, work instructions, labor standards, and BOMs.
• Support PCB assembly, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and electronics production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales.
• Perform supplier audits, source inspections, capacity planning, and cost analysis.
• Drive corrective actions and production readiness for new products.

Job Details

Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering leader with 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, including PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, IPC Class 3 soldering standards, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, workflows, and production efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, and DFM principles.
• Develop manufacturing procedures, work instructions, labor standards, and Bills of Operations.
• Support PCB assembly, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and electronic product manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
• Perform supplier audits, source inspections, capacity planning, and cost analysis.
• Drive corrective actions, process improvements, and production readiness for new products.

Qualifications

• Extensive PCB, SMT, and soldering experience.
• Strong knowledge of IPC Class 3 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, SPC, capacity planning, and shop floor control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
