Job summary

Etnyre International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to analyze and improve production processes in our Oregon, IL facility. You will optimize plant layouts, tool utilization, and workforce effectiveness while managing data for production and inventory control.

The role requires CNC programming experience (manual and software-based) and strong analytical skills to ensure quality and cost efficiency in line with customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated process improvement and analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of production systems, capacity planning, and manufacturing data management.
  • Experience with CNC programming (manual and software-based) required.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and customer-driven quality requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvement programs focused on optimizing plant layout, equipment utilization, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend capital investments, including equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures; support implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing data to support production and inventory control systems, including work centers, routings, standards, lead times, and capacity planning metrics.
  • Review customer contract quality requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards; assist in the development of quality procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align manufacturing processes, industrial engineering practices, and quality systems.
  • Develop CNC programs for a variety of machines using both manual programming methods and software-based programming and nesting tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
