Job summary

Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries, located in Newton, NC, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support plant operations and drive process improvements. This hands-on role involves working across manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering functions with leadership responsibilities.

The candidate will lead maintenance and technician teams, troubleshoot shop floor issues, and develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials while ensuring quality and efficiency across product

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience (1–3+ years).
• Experience in manufacturing processes & fabrication, tooling and process improvement.
• Knowledge of HVAC/heat exchanger systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and manufacturing technician teams.
• Support production and troubleshoot shop floor issues.
• Drive process improvements and cost-reduction projects.
• Develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials.
• Assist with prototype development for new/modified products.

Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, is actively hiring for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. Turbotec produces a diverse range of high-performance heat exchangers for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration application for the geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist in many areas of the plant and production.

About the Role

• Support plant operations and production efficiency
