Job summary

Turbotec, a Mueller Industries company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Newton, NC plant. You will support the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and assist in lean improvement projects. The role requires experience in industrial maintenance, reading blueprints, and handling mechanical tasks on the shop floor.

We offer a first shift with overtime as needed, a climate-controlled environment, and benefits per company policy (vacations, PTO, 401k, medical, dental, and vision).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Good fine motor skills and ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lean/continuous improvement projects.
• Install and inspect machinery on the manufacturing floor.
• Install and inspect electrical equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Troubleshoot/repair machinery to minimize downtime.
• Perform brazing, welding, and basic fabrication tasks.
• Inspect in-process and finished products for quality compliance.
• Use standard tools to perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Use measurement/test equipment to ensure specifications.
• Ensure machinery is operated correctly to maintain quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities and Job Expectations:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with lean/continuous improvement projects.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 3-5 years' experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance preferred
• Good fine motor skills, hand dexterity
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift to 50-75 lbs.
