Job summary
Owen Daniels is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead technically complex, high value projects for a Defence manufacturer. You will define manufacturing methods, drive best practice, and ensure delivery on time, right first time and within cost.
As the primary technical contact, you will liaise across engineering, production and quality teams to deliver precision‑engineered solutions in a highly regulated environment, while continuously improving processes and performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong CNC machining techniques knowledge.
- Experience using CAD/CAM to support manufacturing and CNC programming.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, process optimisation, and quality standards.
- Experience managing technical projects from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver precision-engineered solutions.
- Utilise CAD/CAM knowledge to program, select tooling, and optimise CNC toolpaths.
- Establish and define manufacturing methods for complex components and transfer routings.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve performance.

- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver precision-engineered solutions
- Utilise strong CAD/CAM knowledge to support CNC machining processes, including programming, tooling selection, and optimisation of tool paths.
- Establish and define methods of manufacture for complex components, creating and transferring effective manufacturing routings into production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing performance.
- Familiar working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC Machining techniques
- Experience using CAD/CAM software to support manufacturing processes and CNC programming.
