Job summary

MANIFEST Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and document cost-effective manufacturing processes for medical device components. You will guide cross-functional teams, maintain ERP routings, support tooling, fixturing, CNC programming, costing, and quoting, and drive continuous improvement using LEAN principles.

The ideal candidate has CAD experience, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate in a precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • CAD software experience required.
  • Proficient in Windows and MS Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel between client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost effective processes and procedures
  • Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles
  • Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments
  • Provide design for manufacturability feedback to appropriate audiences
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects
  • Create and coordinate engineering studies
  • Assist in the development of tool design and CNC programming
  • Fixture design and implementation
  • Create and modify through change control, BOM/BOO routings within the ERP system
  • Assist with all costing and quoting functions
  • Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAP structure
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for engineering changes and manufacturing processes
  • Coordinate measurement methods with quality programmers and engineers
  • Maintain machining and secondary operational processes
  • All other duties as assigned

Job description

MANIFEST Technology is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, improvement, and documentation of cost-effective manufacturing processes for medical device components. This role will provide technical guidance across cross-functional teams, maintain manufacturing plans and routings within the ERP system, support tooling, fixturing, CNC programming, costing, and quoting activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality and LEAN principles. The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering knowledge, CAD experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a precision manufacturing environment, with preferred experience in CAM software, fixturing/tooling design, ISO 13485, and LEAN/Six Sigma practices.

Position Type: Direct Hire; W-2 US Citizen or Green Card Holder only; No C2C

Duration: Full-time

Location/Hours: Minneapolis area; Monday – Friday

Pay Range: $70k – $105k/year; W-2; No C2C

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or an associate degree with 4 years of experience in similar field
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially word and excel
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel between our client’s sites in northwest metro (as needed)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment
  • LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application
  • Experience with CAM software; swiss or milling
  • Experience working within an ISO 13485 environment
