Job summary

Brady is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide engineering support at the Florist Ave facility. You will own department metrics, lead improvements, and drive cost and yield improvements while ensuring safety and standard work.

The role requires technical leadership across R&D, engineering, shop floor, and suppliers. You'll guide SPC, process capability, and CAPEX projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver robust processes and write the Annual Operating Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience in an engineering role.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and change-management skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC and process capability.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering improvements and capital updates to production processes.
• Collaborates with R&D Engineering on product and process performance improvements.
• Applies SPC and risk mitigation tools to ensure robust processes.
• Gatekeeper for process capability prior to product launch.
• Identifies and eliminates non-value-added activities to improve efficiency.
• Standardizes processes and procedures across operations.
• Owns departmental performance including process, cost and yield improvements.
• Monitors key metrics and ensures performance visibility and accountability.
• Acts as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributes to the Annual Operating Plan and manages budgetary performance.
• Ensures compliance with SOPs, standard work, and safety standards.
• Leads by example to maintain a safe, clean, and effective work environment.
• Provides direction and development to supervisors and team leaders.

The Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering support at the Florist Ave facility. This includes ownership of department business metrics, engineering support and project management. This position has the potential to have management responsibility for area team leaders and/or supervisors. Individuals must be able to effectively interact with all areas of the business including R&D, engineering, shop floor, management, contractors, planning & inventory control, etc.

What You'll Be Doing:

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 1 year in an engineering role.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage change and influence across functions.
• Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects in a complex operational setting.
  Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and process capability analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to improve and standardize manufacturing processes through application of engineering principles.
• Experience conducting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience
• Experience with coating and adhesive manufacturing is preferred.
