Job summary

CSP Composite, a leader in lightweight composite components for transportation, seeks an engineer to define and improve production processes that meet customer specs and drive lean improvements.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Mechanical Eng or Eng Tech and at least 3 years in manufacturing (auto preferred), plus strong analytical, communication, and AutoCAD/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive).
• Experience with lean/synchronous manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, document, develop, and implement procedures used to process, assemble, test and/or manufacture of Teijin's products.
• Define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Create documentation for production support and data collection.
• Part of team that approves new product designs for production.
• Assesses and approves new product tooling for production.
• Reviews and authorizes new product processes for production.
• Initiates and maintains 'open items' tracking system for new products.
• Attends all tooling tryouts at the tooling vendors.
• Coordinates all tooling tryouts at the manufacturing facility.
• Participates in obtaining PSW approvals on new products.
• Continuously improve processes utilizing synchronous and lean manufacturing techniques to improve labor efficiencies and quality.
• Must have proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD)
• Must have very strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Must have very strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude and to maintain a positive and productive workplace
• Exhibit teamwork and actively participate in team projects/activities in a positive working environment.
