Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Johnson City, TN to design manufacturing processes and manage equipment from development to buyoff. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure reliable production equipment and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Engineering, 2+ years manufacturing experience, and hands-on CNC machining knowledge including programming and tool selection. Great benefits and stable environment offered.

• Experience with the selection of machining equipment

Responsibilities

• Design of manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
• Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
• Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
• Management of external equipment suppliers from equipment development through buyoff.
• Validation and characterization of new equipment and fixtures for introduction to the production floor.
• Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment. Develop and implement changes to mitigate repetitive downtime.
• Fixturing and tooling design experience in CATIA or Solidworks
• Experience in CNC metal machining processes using CNC vertical machining centers and CNC lathes
