Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for production issues.
  • Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost.
  • Assist in equipment selection, installation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain process documents, work instructions, and standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams on technical challenges.
  • Evaluate production data and recommend performance improvements.
  • Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting production operations, working with the engineering & maintenance department to deliver engineering solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to production and quality issues.
  • Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Work with the Engineering department to analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Evaluate production data and generate recommendations to improve operational performance.
  • May participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Option 1
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline); and
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Option 2
  • Completion of a Mechatronics program, certificate, diploma, or associate degree; and
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
Option 3
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in a technical engineering-related role within an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action tools.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of relay logic.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to interpret engineering or electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work primarily in the manufacturing plant environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stop, twist, turn, and climb stairs throughout the facility.
