Job summary

Eos Energy Storage is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to actively engage with the production floor, troubleshoot in real time, and drive continuous improvement across processes. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to implement lean methods, develop fixtures, and lead PFMEA ownership while maintaining safety, quality, and cost targets.

The role requires strong analytical skills, eight-plus years in manufacturing, and a proven ability to translate data into performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with manufacturing/operations teams and participate in daily Tier accountability meetings.
  • Troubleshoot real-time production problems and deploy countermeasures.
  • Provide day-to-day technical floor support as a SME.
  • Lead PFMEA ownership and develop standardized work instructions.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, scrap, and cycle times.
  • Develop tooling and fixtures, and coordinate external suppliers for upgrades.
  • Review installation plans, coordinate start-ups, and train operators.
  • Assist in product design, material selections, and tooling reviews.
  • Support audits, ISO re-implementation, and change management activities.
  • Collaborate across functions to improve process capability and performance.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Be actively engaged with the manufacturing process and operations teams. Participate in the Daily Tier accountability meetings.
  • Troubleshoot production process/technical problems in real time to deploy countermeasures.
  • Work closely with shift supervisors, other ME, IE, Lean Expert, Design, R&D, facilities/maintenance, and quality team members to gain cross‑functional feedback.
  • Provide day‑to‑day technical floor support as a SME (Subject Matter Expert).
  • Investigate and resolve issues which arise during manufacturing while maintaining or exceeding safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.
  • Utilize various Root Cause Analysis tools to correct problems and prevent re‑occurrence.
  • Analyze data to improve process capability, reduce process variation, and optimize process performance.
  • Develop processes to improve throughput using lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects in assigned process areas to reduce waste/scrap and cycle times.
  • Design and construct tooling/fixtures for processes or modify existing production equipment as needed.
  • Identify and develop relationships with external suppliers (tool and die shops) to upgrade tooling and fixtures.
  • Select and integrate off‑the‑shelf components and equipment; confirm system and component capabilities by designing test methods and procedures.
  • Lead the project implementation by reviewing installation plans, coordinating start‑ups, documenting changes, updating procedures, and training operators.
  • Maintain project documentation and assist in creating Operation Manuals.
  • Assist in product design, material selections, and tooling reviews.
  • Ownership of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for assigned processes.
  • Develop standardized Work Instructions and/or procedures for assigned areas.
  • Lead train‑the‑trainer sessions for assigned areas, ensuring production team knows proper operation of equipment through training, verification, and process audits.
  • Provide direction and coordinate efforts and responsibilities for interns and co‑ops to best suit business needs.
  • Provide quality support during customer or regulatory audits, ISO re‑implementation activities, and change management initiatives.
  • Support Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager in strategic planning of short‑term and long‑term capital spending goals.
  • Assist maintenance team in developing critical spares for process equipment.
  • Provide prompt support to on‑site team during troubleshooting/problem solving to avoid unplanned downtime and improve OEE.
  • Support Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager in interview process of new recruits and onboarding new manufacturing team members.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned at any time with or without notice.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering disciplines with appropriate skills/experience or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience.
Working Conditions

Travel: Local. Overnight/North America: Less than 10%. Working Conditions: Office environment and factory. The worker may be subject to hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or chemicals. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. Noise level can be loud. Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, reading, visual inspection. May require lifting up to 25 pounds (office) or 50 pounds (factory).
