3M is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead engineering efforts at the Aberdeen, SD site, driving process improvements, assuring safety, quality and efficiency in production. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, review equipment specifications, manage projects, and communicate progress and costs to stakeholders while supporting plant and focus factory operations.

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering is required; travel up to 10%

  • Provides engineering leadership to the Aberdeen plant - Establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs
  • Utilizes technical skills to compile and review information to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications and other project requirements
  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement projects focused on process, product, and quality system improvements
  • Utilizes project management skills to organize and execute projects
  • Supports site and focus factory resources with process improvements
  • Drives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilities
  • Reports project implementation, cost and status to appropriate person
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
  • Prior experience working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills

Pay & Benefits
  • The expected compensation range for this position is $98,964 - $120,957, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
  • In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
